Coaching · 001

Vocal coaching.

Specialized singing instruction for hobbyists and industry pros. Students range from four to seventy — aspiring session singers, actors prepping roles, songwriters finding their voice, and singers who just want to sing better.

What we work on · 002

Private lessons, vocal reels, and the room you grow in.

Private singing lessons.

Weekly or pack-based. Voice work, breath, technique, songbook building. Students range from four to seventy — kids with first stage roles, adults who've never sung in public, working session singers tuning the instrument between calls.

Vocal reels.

Half-day sessions to record and mix the working reel singers need before they can audition. Production, takes, edits, the file you send. Most reels are done in one sitting; some take two.

Songwriting.

Bring an idea and start building, or finish the draft you've been sitting on. Co-writes, structure work, lyric passes. The same hands that hired choirs for Smashing Pumpkins and Neil Young — pointed at your song.

Beginner piano and ukulele.

Music school for the singers who never had it — chord shapes, basic theory, enough to back yourself up. Slotted into voice lessons or taken on their own.

Music therapy is its own register — more on that next.

Music therapy · 003

A licensed therapist, in every lesson.

I'm a licensed therapist with twenty-six years of experience working with people with special needs — autism, ADHD, suicidal ideation, brain trauma. I get to use the power of music to help bring about behavioral or life change.

Singing is very vulnerable. You're opening up the inside of you and letting the world hear it. So I use my therapy techniques as I teach — a lot of people have catharsis while they're singing.

Charissa · 004

Twenty-five years of session work. Twenty-six of music therapy.

Charissa Nielsen has sung on La La Land, Neil Young's Earth, Smashing Pumpkins, Post Malone, and most national spots you've half-listened to in the last decade. She hires the choirs. She coaches the actors. She runs Studio C — the room she built in Los Angeles — with the same instincts she brings to a million-dollar campaign.

How it works · 005

Packs, payment, the small print.

Lesson packs.

Booked in packs of four or eight. Paid upfront. Sessions reserve your spot on the calendar — once it's on the books, it's yours.

Payment.

Currently Zelle and Venmo. Card payment is coming once Thrivecart's wired in — expect a small processing fee (3–4%) on cards.

Scheduling.

Calendar runs through Dubsado with buffers and daily caps, so the room never gets overbooked and you actually get the time you paid for.

Twenty-four-hour cancellation.

All lessons are billed at time of booking and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Your scheduled time is reserved just for you — if you need to reschedule, I totally get it. Please give at least 24 hours' notice so we can move your session without penalty. Sessions missed or canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be considered completed and are not eligible for rescheduling or refund. Thanks for understanding and respecting both our time.

Sick policy.

If you are ill, please do not share your germs and stay home.
